The 35th Education and Careers Expo

This year marks the first participation of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board (HKMPDB), since its establishment on 1 July 2025, in the four-day Education & Careers Expo (January 22–25, 2026) held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, committed to providing young people and job seekers with information on maritime-related education, training, and career opportunities.
The theme of this year's booth, "Neon Harbor: Lighting the World's Maritime Hub”, featured artistic neon installations symbolizing the prosperity of Hong Kong’s maritime industry and its seamless connectivity with the world.
The booth offered a highly interactive experience. In addition to digital touch panels displaying maritime education and career information, maritime promotional videos featuring the Board’s mascot "Otto" and the distribution of curated information packs, various interactive games were specially arranged, including the "Maritime Knowledge Toss Game" and the "AI Photo Booth", designed to deepen public understanding of the industry through engaging activities. Participants who joined the games or followed Otto’s social media platforms received a series of limited-edition souvenirs. Otto also made a special appearance to engage with the public, attracting a large number of students and job seekers visited the booth to inquire about industry opportunities and participate in the activities.
The Board expresses its sincere gratitude to our supporting partners, including the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Maritime Services Training Institute, the Hong Kong Sea School and industry practitioners. Their invaluable sharing of professional experiences has successfully sparked interest among students and the public, encouraging the next generation of talent to pursue maritime professions and contribute to the industry's future growth.
